Who we are

Finn Partners is one of the fastest growing independent US-based PR firms in the world. Launched late in 2011, the firm is built on a core set of values including “work hard, play nice” and “making a difference in the world”. It started with approximately US$24 million in fees, six offices and a staff of 150. It has grown tremendously in its short history. It ended 2018 with more than US$85 million in fees, and today has 18 offices and more than 650 staff around the world. In Asia, it has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore (its regional headquarters).

What we are looking for

We’re looking for an experienced finance professional to join Finn Partners Asia who wants to make a difference to our business. Just so you know, we have standards. Since you want to work with great people, you need to bring along the same burning desire to be great at what you do.

So here’s what you need to bring to the party:

  • Degree in accountancy or ACCA with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar function
  • Understand financial, regulatory and compliance requirements for Singapore, Hong Kong and China
  • Proven managerial experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential
  • Familiarity with NetSuite a plus
  • Previous experience with Media, Creative, Marketing or PR agencies a plus

What you will be doing every day

You will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of management finance and accounting for agencies operating in the Asia Pacific region. This includes month-end reporting; overseeing the P&L and balance sheet from subsidiary agencies based in Singapore, Hong Kong and China; maintaining strong internal controls, statutory reporting, quarterly budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management; and consolidating the financial reports for regional reporting to the CFO.

You will report to the CFO and work closely with the Regional Managing Partner, and subsidiary agencies’ Managing Partners to initiate and monitor budgets, as well as improve profitability and cash flow. You will lead a small team of accountants/bookkeepers based in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.  You will also manage external vendors which provide financial-related services such as accounting, banking and auditing services.
