A 200-year-old diversified industrial and engineering company based in Germany, ThyssenKrupp is one of the world’s largest steel producers. The company also provides components and systems for the automotive industry, elevators, escalators, material trading and industrial services.
After its merger in 1999, the company has been undergoing one of its biggest restructuring exercises to reduce its dependence on highly volatile and capital-intensive businesses. A new CEO, Dr. Heinrich Hiesinger, was appointed to organise and lead the restructuring.
In conjunction with Dr Hiesinger’s visit to Singapore, Ying Communications managed media engagements for the CEO, securing significant airtime placements on BBC News Asia Business Report as well as The Wall Street Journal (Asia and global editions), both of which covered positively on the company’s restructuring.
