It’s the Year of the Goat, and as marketers roll out their CNY promotions, so do the ba-a-a-ad puns. Here are some gems we found this year:
Let’s get the obvious ones out of the way, shall we? IKEA’s clever CNY campaign includes a series of banners with pun-worthy text.
OCK is running a rap contest. Your rap must include their food products and the word “goat” or “sheep”. It’s called “Forever Yang”.
Local blog mothership.sg posted some of BreadTalk’s corniest puns, including “Goat Luck”, “Happy Goat Lucky” bread, and “Goat-ness for the whole family”.
After that post went out, the social media team at BreadTalk went into overdrive and challenged mothership.sg readers to send in their best puns to win prizes. Well played BreadTalk.
No wordplay here. But that hair.
This was stretching it a bit. I mean, baa…baa…ountiful?
And the teaser
Tune Hotels hits us with “Goat” not once, but twice in the copy!
A Frankenstein phrase combining “Happy Go Lucky” and “Lucky Dip”, while goatifying it at the same time.
Goat knows puns are fun.
